Times are tough and the competition for your business is heated. Everyone with a product or service wants your business.
However you certainly want to choose the best value. Some people use cost alone as a measure of value. Many times, with things such as gasoline, the same brand of a product or generic equivalents, that is true. Just as many times, however, price alone is not the best criteria. Sometimes the old saying "You get what you pay for," rings very loud and true.
Sure, you can get a quarter pound ground beef sandwich for three bucks, complete with three times the DMR of sodium, saturated fat and cholesterol. Or you could buy a pound of ground beef and decide your own portions. And those of your family.
Remember too, that as you hand your money in through that drive-in window, at least a portion if not most of that money is leaving your community. It will end up improving the lives of a few people very much removed from ours, maybe even in another country. And therein lies one of the biggest reason for doing business with local folks. They re-invest your hard earned money back into your community. They are part of the reason we enjoy the services and benefits of local government and the availability of products and services within our community.
When dealing with local business people, if you wish to talk to the manager or the owner, frequently he or she is who you are making the request to. They are right here, in the flesh and readily accessible. No 800 numbers to call where you can be shifted through layer after layer of mechanized voices telling you, "how important your call is" yet never addressing your concerns with more than an optional number to press. So, the next time you are deciding where to eat, shop or when you need a service, consider finding what you want right here where you live and work. Besides keeping those hard earned dollars working in your community, you'll save time, gas and reduce stress!
You deserve the best value and we feel you get the best value when you spend your money right here at home!
