Locally Made Market Beattyville/Lee County
About the Market
Through their generosity, the Boneyard Well allowed the Farmer's Market to be set up in their building next to the liquor store on HWY 52 for 2 years. This was a wonderful place and the owners of the Boneyard Well supported the market. The in Jan 2023, the business owners made a tough decision of tearing down that older building in order to create opportunity for their business to grow. Also because of an upcoming transportation project on the road in front of the building. The Locally Made Market is wholeheartedly grateful for their generosity and support while set up there. The Market is in the process of moving onto Main Street across from the Beattyville Post Office. The building owner is working on the building, added a new roof, and hopefully soon the market will be back in full force.
Temporarily the Market is set up at the Three Forks Historical Center, 500 HWY 11 North, Beattyville, KY and is open every Friday of each week from 9am – 4pm. The museum has not had regular hours since the Beattyville Historic Flood in March 2021. Having the market set up each Friday gives opportunity for the community to also visit and tour the museum. Our area has many local artisans and crafters; our goal is to provide an opportunity for them to showcase their talents and for our local farmers to have a place to sell their fresh produce. We also want to provide everyone with an opportunity to buy local products as often as we can. There will continue to be all kinds of great items to shop for including vegetables, fruits, baked goods, soaps, masks, jewelry, wood products, and more. At our market, you hand your money to the person right in front of you who grew or made the products and that is a good feeling! Thank you to all who supported our local farmers, bakers & makers! We look forward to your visit in our new location on Main Street in April 2023! If you have any questions about becoming a part of the market please contact: Teresa Mays [email protected] 606-567-7703 or Dedra Brandenburg [email protected] 606-464-5038.
