Every last Friday night of the months May-September, the Downtown Beattyville Alliance host events on Main Street. The block around the Woolly Worm Park is blocked off to allow Classic Cars to roll in after cursing town to park and showcase their cars. This year many types of vehicles are welcome to participate including motorcycles, buggies, and tricked out trail riding 4x4 trucks. Also kids are welcome to display their bicycles and even Powerwheels in the Woolly Worm Park. It is great summer fun for the whole family.
Each DBA downtown event is Free Registration at the Woolly Worm Barn and the fist 50 register vehicles will receive a free dash plaque. Donations are appreciated. Register every month May-September and you will win free entry into the Woolly Worm Festival Annual Car Show in October this year.
Summer Nights on Main Street in Beattyville will be different each month. Planned for this event on June 26th is an "Main Street Sock Hop". Get in the spirit and dress in your best 50s outfit for some old time rock and roll Main Street dancing! Winner of the best 50s costume will receive a free pass to the new Thrillsville Arial Adventure Park in Slade, KY.
