4th of July Celebration
You can count on our community to have the 4th of July Celebration on the day of the holiday each year... the 4th of July,.. no matter what day of the week the holiday falls on. At Happy Top Park there are water inflatables for the kids to slide on, non profits doing face painting and giving out treats, the museum has concessions available for purchase under the shelter and there is usually an awesome cake walk. WSKV sets up an excellent sound system and leading up the the fireworks, has games and prizes for kids who can participate in trivia and other fun activities.

Beattyville/Lee County is planning and accepting donations for the Independence Day Fireworks Show! Call 606-464-2888 to donate. Each year fireworks become more expensive. We appreciate all the volunteers, EMS, Fire and Rescue, who help in the dangerous task of shooting off fireworks each year. The display is anywhere from 35-50 minutes of nonstop enjoyment.

HWY 52 Yard Sale, July 5th & 6th 2024

As you can travel along HWY 52 through Madison County to Estill County, through Irvine into Lee County and Beattyville, and from Beattyville toward Breathitt County and the City of Jackson and top at every wide spot on the road to browse through all the yard sale items!
