Welcome to "The Heart of the Kentucky River" located in Beattyville/Lee County, KY. We are just 20 minutes south of the Red River Gorge and Natural Bridge State Park. Our small river community has a large heart and great southern hospitality. We have a number of attractions and activities. You can enjoy outdoor adventures, cabin rentals, historical sites, festivals and local events.
The Beattyville/Lee County Tourism Commission was established in November 2011 by a joint ordinance between the City of Beattyville and the Lee County Fiscal Court. Our funding comes from a 3% transient room tax on the rental properties in Lee County. The commission uses these funds for promotions and recreational development.

October 4 & 5, 2014 - Red River Rally
Join The Bluegrass Cycling Club for Kentucky's oldest continuously organized bicycle ride. Since 1970 the Bluegrass Cycling Club has hosted the Red River Rally. Registration begins at 11:00 a.m. at shelter #2 by the sky-lift parking lot at the Natural Bridge State Resort Park, Slade, Kentucky. Wheels roll at 1:00 PM.
