Welcome to "The Heart of the Kentucky River" located in Beattyville/Lee County, KY. We are just 20 minutes south of the Red River Gorge and Natural Bridge State Park. Our small river community has a large heart and great southern hospitality. We have a number of attractions and activities. You can enjoy outdoor adventures, cabin rentals, historical sites, festivals and local events.
The Beattyville/Lee County Tourism Commission was established in November 2011 by a joint ordinance between the City of Beattyville and the Lee County Fiscal Court. Our funding comes from a 3% transient room tax on the rental properties in Lee County. The commission uses these funds for promotions and recreational development.

Each year the school system, business, and organizations throughout Lee County support a safe Halloween event on Main Street. Bring your carved pumpkin for the pumpkin carving competition. There will be music, dancing, and a best costume contest for all ages. Not to mention Trick or Treat Candy!

Beattyville is a proud member of the KY River Water Trail Alliance, a grassroots group that is a dedicated to promoting water recreation on the Kentucky River. Registration is $20.00.
